Amzad Hossain

Dr. Md. Amzad Hossain is a consultant physician specializing in Clinical Dermatology, Dermato-surgery, Hair & Scalp Disorders, and Sexual Medicine. With extensive clinical experience spanning more than two decades, he has developed particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of dermatological and venereological conditions. His areas of special interest include hair loss and hair-growth therapies, including Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Exosome therapy, as well as various minor and advanced dermatological procedures. His procedural expertise includes electrosurgery for warts, verrucae, skin tags and selected moles; skin biopsy for histopathological diagnosis; and intralesional therapy for chronic and treatment-resistant skin conditions. He has successfully completed FCPS (Dermatology) Part-I and is currently appearing in the FCPS (Dermatology) Final Examination. Professional Experience: Dr. Amzad began his career as an Indoor Medical Officer in the Departments of Dermatology and Medicine at Sir Salimullah Medical College (SSMC). where he served for five years. He subsequently joined Border Guard Hospital, Pilkhana. where he has been serving as a Senior Consultant in Skin & Venereology since May 2010. He has also been associated with Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital (JBFH) for approximately 15 years, providing specialist consultation and dermatological care to patients. Over the course of his career, Dr. Amzad has combined extensive clinical experience with a strong interest in procedural dermatology, striving to provide evidence-based, patient-focused, and comprehensive care for skin, hair, and venereal disorders. Professional Recognition: In recognition of his dedicated service, Dr. Amzad Hossain was awarded the, President Border Guard Medal (PBGMS) by the Government of Bangladesh in 2012.
